Friday – Read John 20:18; Romans 10:9

Mary did do after talking to Jesus?
# What did
she tell the disciples?
# What
should we do to be saved?
Jesus
commissioned Mary to go share the good news that Jesus was alive. Note what she
says to the disciples: “I have seen the Lord!” We only can share what we are
living. If Jesus is not real to us there is no way our testimony will have
value or authority. Not only that, the text says “she told them that He [Jesus]
had said these things to her. The message to be shared is based on what Jesus tells
us. If we have no intimate relationship with Him, our message won’t be relevant
to be announced and without a relevant message how will the people listen? They
need to listen.
The only
way for them to be saved is if we go to them with a message that has impacted
our lives and can impact their lives as well. When we confess with our mouths
that Jesus is Lord over our lives and can also be over their lives then we are
sharing what we believe in our hearts and that’s the only way people can be
saved. Salvation comes through the personal and public confession that Jesus is
Lord over our lives, after we have this as our personal statement of faith in
our hearts.
It’s
Easter! Every day is Easter. Jesus is alive! Let’s share the good news to
