25/03/2014 - Tuesday – Read John 3:5-8
1- Who can enter the kingdom of God? What
does mean to “be born of water” (Colossians 2:12)? What does mean to “be born
of the Spirit” (Titus 3:4-7)? The Catholic Church uses this text to have the
baptism as a way for salvation. After all, whoever is baptized will be saved
(Mark 16:16) or one is baptized because he or she was saved? What was the
requirement for the baptism of repentance, according to what we saw in “Jesus
Is Baptized”?
2- In verse 6 Jesus contrasts two
things. What are they? Can flesh understand the spiritual things (1 Corinthians
2:14; 15:50)? What does a natural man need to discern the spiritual things
(Romans 8:9-11)?
3- How does Jesus describe the wind? Where
does it come from? Where does it go to? Who controls it? How does this apply to
one born of the Spirit? Can the world understand the reasons behind a Spirit
led person? How does the world see the Church? Jesus said we can hear the
wind’s sound, even though we don’t know where it begins or ends. The world doesn't know our beginning (in Christ) and our destination (salvation). What
has the world heard from the Spirit born people or how has the world noticed
the moving of the Holy Spirit in your life?
